Switchboard Upgrades
Old switchboards with rewireable fuses have significantly higher risk of electrical fire and provide a much lower degree of protection against people suffering an electric shock.
New switchboards use circuit breakers in conjunction with a Residual Current Device (RCD)
Or a circuit breaker / RCD combo also referred to as an RCBO to ensure that in the event of a fault, the faulty circuit is isolated extremely quickly, often in as little as 30 milliseconds or less.
The benefits of upgrading your switchboard:
- Easy restoration of power when circuit is tripped due to overload.
- Protection against electrocution with RCDs or RCBOs.
- Reduced risk of electrical fire due to overheating or fault in electrical cables.
